Blue River Cabinetry offers four types of door overlay. All our cabinets use 1 1/2" rails and stiles on the face frame for a consistent look. The overlay is the amount of door or drawer front lays over the rail or stile. The reveal is the amount of face frame that shows around the door/drawer.
STANDARD The door lays 1/2" over the rails and stiles, leaving a 1" reveal accentuating the face framed cabinet. This is the most popular design.
Poplar, Unfinished
FULL The door lays 1 1/4" over the rails and stiles, leaving a 1/4" reveal.
Clear Alder, Custom Stain
FLUSH INSET The faces of the doors are flush to the face of the cabinet. In order to maintain our strict tolerances between door and the frame, we hand fit each one.
Cherry, Custom Stain
BEADED INSET (Beaded cabinet frames) Similar to Flush inset, however each door openings has beading added for a more sophisticated look.
