                      Blue River is proud to partner with Sherwin Williams for our coatings. Sherwin Williams is a world leader in the finish industry and provides the most durable, best looking, paints and stains on the market today.

                      Blue River offers 42 standard finishes including: 11 stains, 5 dyes, 17 paints, 5 glazes, 5 stain with glaze combinations, 3 dye with glaze combinations, 6 paint with glaze combinations, and 3 standard paints with distressing.

                      If we still can’t match your color, we are happy to custom match your color.  In addition, Blue River offers numerous distressing options including rubbed thru edges and rustic looks. All of our finishes are environmentally friendly and meet the strict testing requirements of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA).

                      Blue River uses the following 11-step finish process:
                      1. Hand sand virgin cabinets to maximize the wood beauty and adhesion characteristics.
                      2. Sap dye to even out color if needed.
                      3. Apply Sherwin Williams Sher-Wood Wiping Stains to accentuate the wood’s natural grain and beauty.
                      4. Air cure to perfection.
                      5. Seal using Sherwin Williams KemVar Conversion Varnish.
                      6. Controlled oven cure from 70º rising to 120º.
                      7. Hand sand and inspect.
                      8. Hand glaze if required with Sherwin Williams Sher- Wood Glazes.
                      9. Apply high solids protective topcoat with Sherwin Williams KemVar Conversion Varnish.
                      10. Controlled oven cure to bake in finish.
                      11. Hand rubbed deluxing and inspection.
